Longitudes of Imagination | Mayflower Autonomous Ship
Longitude Sound Bytes podcast is bringing innovative insights from professionals around the world to you.
Presented by Longitude fellows, our first series in the Longitudes of Imagination series is showcasing conversations with the crew members of the Mayflower Autonomous Ship (MAS), also known as MAS400.
MAS is an AI-driven, fully autonomous ship built by ProMare and IBM that will cross the Atlantic from the U.K. to the U.S. and gather ocean research data. It will commemorate the original Mayflower journey while looking ahead 400 years. What is possible for the good of humanity and for the health of our oceans with AI? Five Longitude fellows led conversations and explored how imagination leads to vision, how synergies and creativity make ideas grow, and what it takes to turn ideas into action.
