Welcome to LongitudeSite, where college students and recent graduates lead curiosity-driven conversations and present podcast episodes on the values, skills and experiences of professionals.
Longitude Site is a nonprofit 501(c)3 educational initiative with a global reach based in Houston. Our name is a symbolic reminder of intersections where ideas and actions converge – not only among generations but also among infinite longitudes – so that students and professionals around the world may benefit from the insights shared on our podcast Longitude Sound Bytes.
As we hear words like creativity, inspiration, passion, or imagination, our mind is led into the world of art. As we hear words like experiment, design, observe, or compute, they conjure up activities associated with the sciences. At what longitudes do these converge and foster inspiration for powerful new ideas for individuals? Tune into our podcast Longitude Sound Bytes to hear fascinating endeavors.
In 2026 we are pausing our podcast and focusing on field trips that engage small groups of students to see different aspects of productivity in the workplace, which we call Beyond Digital observations.
They are site visits for observing tangible aspects of productivity and engaging in informal conversations with artisans, professional experts, and scientists.
See highlights from our visits to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston Conservation Studios and to the Amati Violin Shop.
